YOU ARE ALREADY
EN ROUTE
A philosophical statement from
Rachel Arbon Holmes, M.A.
When I was six years old, I used to spend nights on the swing set in my backyard trying to feel something most children aren't trying to feel: nothing.
I'd look up at the stars and think — what if there was no me. Then I'd go further. What if my family didn't exist. What if the world didn't exist. What if there was no god, no universe, nothing at all — and I would try to actually feel that, not just think it. It thrilled me.
I didn't have language yet for what I was doing. I know now: I was practicing awe. And somewhere in that swing-set meditation, a question took root that has never really left me — not why do people suffer, but why are people the way they are. What is underneath. What is running the show, unseen.
Everything since — the psychology degree, the EMDR training, the parts work, the years spent learning to listen to what bodies are already saying — has been a slow, professional education in a question I first asked for free, alone, in the dark.
You are already en route to your own becoming.
I am not a healer. I am a temporary guide and co-collaborator — someone who works alongside you, in tandem, to find your resonance and tune into it.
You are already unfolding into perfect coherence. Your system was designed for this.
What interrupts that unfolding is not weakness. It is not failure. It is the accumulated noise of experiences that arrived too fast, too hard, or too alone to be fully metabolized — experiences that left confusion in the nervous system, in the body, in the parts of the self still responding to a world that has long since changed.
Together, we peel back the layers of confusion and noise. Not by force, not by protocol, but by following what resonates — by listening for the signal your body is already sending and learning to trust it above all else.
That is where we begin. That is where you already are.
The work we do together is not about fixing what is broken. It is about meeting what is present.
Meeting assumes that every pattern running beneath your awareness, every reaction that arrives before you can choose it, every part of you that has been quietly running the show — is doing exactly what it was designed to do. It was formed in service of protection, of survival, of making something unbearable more bearable. It has not failed. It has simply been working from an outdated map.
What changes when something is met rather than fixed is the quality of the encounter. Instead of resistance, there is curiosity. Instead of suppression, there is understanding.
This is the orientation that runs through everything we do together. Not problem and solution. Not broken and fixed. Guide and co-collaborator, following what is alive, meeting what is present, trusting what emerges.

The work moves through three territories simultaneously: the psychological, the biological, and the communal.
Most approaches live in one. A therapist works with the mind. A functional health practitioner works with the body. A support group offers community. Each of these is valuable. None of them alone is complete.
The psychological territory — through EMDR-informed processing, somatic awareness, and parts-based inner work — addresses what runs in the nervous system and the unconscious mind. The patterns, the reactions, the parts of the self still responding to experiences that have long since passed.
The biological territory — through functional and regenerative health principles — addresses the terrain underneath the symptoms. The gut, the inflammatory burden, the cellular vitality that either supports or undermines everything else. A nervous system that is biochemically depleted cannot regulate. A body carrying significant toxic load cannot fully process what arises emotionally. The biological terrain is not separate from the psychological one. It is the ground it grows in.
The communal territory — through intimate group gathering — addresses something that neither individual therapy nor a health protocol can provide: the experience of being genuinely witnessed in your becoming, by people who are in it alongside you. There is a particular kind of integration that only happens in community. A recognition that what you are moving through is not only yours. That you are not alone in it.
These three territories are not treated as separate conversations that happen to run in parallel. They are one conversation, held at every level it needs to be held.
What guides the movement through these territories is not a protocol. It is not a predetermined sequence or a map drawn in advance. It is something I call Resonance Tracking — a careful, attuned listening for where the opening already lives.
Every person carries both open doors and jammed windows. The open door is the place of greatest willingness — where something in you is already leaning toward movement, already curious, already alive to the possibility of change. The jammed window is the place of greatest resistance — the thing you've been most reluctant to look at, the area that has accumulated the most protective noise around it.
Most approaches go straight for the jammed window. They assume that the most resistant place is the most important place, and that the work is to force it open. In my experience, this rarely produces genuine transformation. It produces compliance at best and retraumatization at worst.
Resonance Tracking begins at the open door. Not because the easy thing is the most important thing — but because movement itself creates the conditions for more movement. When you begin where there is genuine willingness, something shifts. Confidence builds. Trust in your own body's intelligence deepens. And from that growing trust, the jammed window — the place that once felt impossible to approach — begins to feel less fortified. Not because it was forced open, but because you arrived at it from a place of genuine readiness.
The body already knows where it needs to go. My role is simply to help you hear it — and to trust what you hear.
The movement through these territories follows a natural rhythm — one I call Resource, Release, Regenerate.
These are not stages that happen in sequence. They are a living cycle, responsive to what each person needs in each moment, repeating at progressively deeper levels as the work continues.
There are times to resource — to stabilize the nervous system, nourish the biological terrain, build the internal safety and foundation from which deeper work becomes possible. This is not a preliminary step to be completed before the real work begins. It is real work. A system that is depleted cannot process. A person who is not yet resourced cannot go where they need to go. We stay here as long as we need to.
There are times to release — to move through what has been held. To process trauma that was never fully metabolized. To discharge the emotional and physiological burden that the body has been quietly carrying. To clear what has accumulated in the terrain — the inflammatory load, the toxic burden, the patterns running on loops beneath awareness. Release is not catharsis for its own sake. It is the necessary clearing that makes space for something new.
And there are times to regenerate — to move into genuinely new territory. New neural pathways. New biological vitality. New capacity for becoming. This is the territory of expansion — where what was cleared makes room for what was always waiting to emerge. In biological terms this may look like cellular regeneration, epigenetic support, and the restoration of what time and stress have depleted. In psychological terms it looks like integration — the felt sense of a self that is more coherent, more authored, more fully inhabited.
Resonance Tracking is what guides which territory we enter in any given moment. Not a schedule. Not a protocol. The signal your body is already sending — and the growing capacity to hear it.
This is what becomes possible when the layers of confusion and noise are cleared. Not a blank slate. Not a fresh start. Simply the return of something that was always there — the thread of your own becoming, unobstructed.
Parts work returns internal leadership. Somatic awareness restores the body's voice. EMDR completes what was interrupted. Functional and regenerative health restores the biological conditions for clarity, vitality, and genuine expansion.
The goal of this work is to make the potential you feel boiling beneath the surface finally possible. We work directly with the parts of you that are resisting where you want to go — and what arises on the other side may be a destination you never anticipated. A version of yourself you couldn't have imagined from where you started. That is not a detour. That is the magic of this work.
Trauma lives in the body. Healing begins in the body. The body already knows the way. My job is to help you hear it.
